Is Your Website Mobile Friendly According To Google?

April 21, 2015 Google will launch an algorithmic update that can affect your business deeply, especially if you depend on people finding you with their mobile device.

Based on the Google press release, in efforts to streamline searches, Google requires your website to be ‘mobile friendly’ so that the company can offer better search results. You can read the release here.

If you aren’t sure about whether your website is mobile friendly, not to worry. Google offers a simple tool for you to test your site here. Google Mobile Friendly Tool

The tool only tests to see if your site will be penalized. The tool doesn’t check to see if the mobile version of your website is actually user friendly, which would require a ‘responsive’ website. You can read more about responsive websites on our blog.
